Sunday February 1 2009 heading home
Hola, We left to many tears and hugs and photo opportunities. A team of 4 ladies from Santiago arrived this morning and they will be leading a VBS program for the girls all week. Dan finished up the gate he was working on, we got all Gary’s tools at least put back in his barn and then we cleaned up the casa and put the fridgerator back in the teaching kitchen. Gary will get the exhaust hooked up for the new water heater and Sue will then have hot water in the teaching kitchen! We are bringing back a few suprises for people but we are more looking forward to seeing our loved ones and friends. At the Santiago airport, Jeff got a caesar salad with shrimp - well it came with very rubbery shrimp and blue cheese dressing; it went back and we shared burgers and fries. Hi Felipe,
I bet you like this name better than Phil. Are you back? Did you all have a good trip? It was wonderful to get all the reports and photos every day. You all worked so hard and you have your heart in the right place. I thank you for being such an example for Anika. What an experience for her! But even more I want to thank you for the chicas and all the other people that live at the hogar that the team helped so much - with piggi rides new play house and all the other good stuff for soul and body. Welcome back home! I hope you all can get enough rest to deal with the challenges here and most of all I wish you God’s Blessing today and the days ahead.
Will there be an afterglow or some opportunity to meet you and hear more from your trip personally?
